We LOVE Rice Pot. That have had consistently good food and service. That place is small, but we've always been able to get seating. One of my favorite things is roti Canai with incredible curry sauce. They yellow curry is another one of my favorite dishes. Personally I don't think you can go wrong. This is a destination at the end of State St you will want to head to!

Ordered delivery up after I saw someone else's duck salad. OMG soooo good. You can skip the rice and have a delicious healthy low carb explosion of flavors and textures between the warm crispy duck and the cool salad. I INHALED this salad. It took a lot of restraint to pause for a sec to take a picture. I'd be there every week if I lived closer. Run dont walk to order this dish at the Rice Pot.

I've been meaning to come here for lunch. Even though it was Saturday they had lunch specials which a lot of restaurants don't have on the weekend. What I liked about their lunch specials were their samplers. You got to choose three different dishes. I ordered Pad Thai, Chicken in Ginger sauce and Spring Rolls. It was actually more food than I could finish; I ended up taking some home. I'm looking forward to trying other dishes there and finishing my leftovers!

I was traveling back from Boston and one of my friends recommended this spot as she's been going here for years. After this visit, I can see why. It's a somewhat small spot, but we got there during an off peak time, so it wasn't busy. There's also a side parking lot for the restaurant which was convenient. We started off with the Thai Sampler. This was a good option for 3 of us since we were indecisive! It came with a good set of sauces. I ordered the Tom Yum Goong and the Pik Prow Duck. These were both delicious! The Pik Prow Duck was my favorite, and it's more on the savory side. The Tom yum Goong was also delicious! I'd come back for both of these dishes alone had I not lived too far. My friends also got curry dishes, and they were pleased as well. The service was great, prompt, and friendly. Highly recommend!!

Delightful and delicious little restaurant! Fresh spring rolls, sizzling tofu, and drunken noodles.... Oh my good!! Flavorful without being too spicy. Just right. Warm and friendly service with soft music in the background. We can't wait to come again. Enjoy!

Rice Pot on the small corner on State street where I found a hidden gem, my favorite Thai food in New Haven. The atmosphere was so cozy, especially on a snowy night. After talking with a kind and friendly waitress who told us that they just renovated the restaurant, we decided to share dishes by closing ours eyes and picking 2 of so many dishes on the menu because they all look so delicious. Just kidding!!! I'm a big fan of duck, so I ordered duck curry and my friend got cashew nut with chicken. The presentation looked so amazing and the taste was unbelievable. It was good combination of sweet, savory and touch of Thai herb favor that I couldn't explain what was it in both dishes. We ended our gal'night with sweet mango sticky rice, as a result I barely walk to a car.

11.19.21 I unfortunately don't come here often enough. I've been coming here for a couple of years now. I and anyone I've been here with have always had great experiences and great food. One of my favorite dishes here is their Lard Na. It is absolutely amazing. Delicious. I absolutely love the gravy with the wider noodles. Any and all of the staff have always been so accommodating and gracious. They also make sure to ask for your level of spiciness and/or heat that you desire or don't desire. They accommodate to your specifications of heat in some of the dishes. They let you byob with a modest cork fee which is pleasantly reasonable and not expensive at all. Their food prices are also reasonable. It's a smaller restaurant on the cozy side. They have a couple of tables outside on the sidewalk for the warmer months. The restaurant is clean. There is street parking. But, they also have a small private parking lot alongside the restaurant which many aren't aware of. Another food favorite here is the chicken Larb mild spicy. I was here a couple of months ago with some special Yelp friends actually, and they turned me onto this next option that I'll mention. I recently had their Tom Kar Gai soup which i have become a fan of here. We got a pot of it and shared it amongst us which was great. We had more than enough to go around. Thanks D & P. It was a great time. A hidden jewel on the outskirts off of the main drag within New Haven. It's a quieter scene here down on State Street. Good spot for date night.
